The Community Technology Project
COMM-TECH are a non-profit provider of IT expertise and services to the non-profit and charity sector.
COMM-TECH have been helping organisations get the most from their IT investments since 1994.

Our support systems have been developed specifically to fulfill the needs of charities and non-profits, taking into special account issues surrounding data protection, staff-turnover, part-time and remote-working.

We are used to the budgetary restrictions under which charities operate and strive to ensure our clients' IT costs remain within predicted budgets. Our engineers have passed stringent Police checks and can be trusted to look after your data as carefully as you would.
Our servers are located in both the UK and on the continent. Mail, VPN and file servers, ownCloud hosting, virtual desktops, VOIP and more.

Although many of the big Cloud providers (Google for Business, Office 365 and Dropbox) are free or low cost to charities, we work with a number of organisations whose data is too sensitive for storage with these providers; or else such large simply don’t provide the features our clients need -- such as VPN, shared mailboxes and encryption.

COMM-TECH build, maintain and support bespoke, secure private servers to cater to these needs. Our support is integrated into the hosting, so the client has only one call to make to get things done.
Whether it is writing IT project tenders, managing a migration, budgeting a 5-year IT development plan, sourcing new hardware, developing a high-security app, we can not only help but help you understand what help you need.
